Today, November 12, 2021, is the last date to make changes or rectifications in the GATE 2022 application form. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has initiated all those candidates who have committed mistakes in their application. Such candidates have time up to today to make these changes in name, date of birth, gender, college info, address, details of parents, etc. Today is also the last date to make changes in the exam centre, category, and paper. However, to avail the facility, candidates will have to pay extra fee charges.
The Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) 2022 is all set to be held on February 05, 06, 12, and 13, 2022. The registration process for the same has already been completed and currently, candidates are being allowed to make changes in their applications.
The correction facility has been made available on the official website of GATE 2022 I.e., gate.iitkgp.ac.in. Today is the last date to rectify the application particulars pointed out by IIT Kharagpur. Beyond today, no further rectification requests will be entertained. So, candidates who have successfully applied for the exam must use these last few hours wisely. This is to ensure that authorities accept their candidature.
Authorities have also provided a separate facility for registered candidates to change three particular fields in the GATE 2022 application form. These fields include – 1. Exam Centre, 2. Category of candidate and 3. Paper opted. Candidates can also make changes in other categories as well. But to do so, they will have to bear additional fee charges specific to that modification. For instance, candidate wishing to make changes in his/her name needs to pay Rs.500. The same charge is applicable for modifications in date of birth, gender, exam city, etc.

It is important to note that the additional charges once paid will not be refunded. Unless multiple transactions have accidentally happened for the same modification. With just a few hours remaining for the GATE 2022 correction window to close, candidates must use this facility carefully to avoid any unnecessary charges or mishaps in the form.
Candidates who have completed the correction formalities must now wait for their GATE 2022 admit cards to release. As per the official schedule, admit cards are going to be released on January 03, 2022, i.e., almost two months later. So, in the meantime, they are advised to continue their exam preparation to ace the postgraduate examination.
The GATE 2022 examination is all set to be held in February 2022. The exam will be conducted in two slots of 3 hours duration. This exam will be conducted at selected centres across the country, through the computer-based format. Candidates will be evaluated in their selected paper by testing their knowledge base and understanding. Based on their performance in the exam, candidates will be allotted seats in premium institutions for relevant courses.
