GATE 2022 Application Form Correction Window: IITB Will Display Defective Application and Allow Editing From Tomorrow

The eligible candidates can make the changes in the exam test city, category, dsylexic status etc till November 01, 2021.

IIT Bombay is going to display the defective GATE 2022 application form on October 26, 2021. Also, the last date to rectify the details on the application form of GATE 2022 is November 01, 2021. Candidates willing to make changes in their category, exam city centre only till November 12, 2021.

GATE 2022 is scheduled to be held on February 05, 06, 12 and 13th, 2022 for at least 29 subjects. The final result for the candidates is going to be released on March 17, 2022.

As per the rules of the GATE exam, once the application form submission is over, the authorities will verify the authenticity of the details entered in the application form. After this, candidates whose application form is found to be having error or any wrong answer is not accepted. The candidates are provided with the option of correcting all the details that are found to be incorrect.

The candidates who successfully clear the exam more than the minimum cut off will be eligible to take admission in participating IITs. However, candidates shall be allowed to make changes in only the details that are allowed.

The major details that can be changed in the GATE 2022 application form are category, examination city, parent’s name, gender, subject paper, PwD status and Dyslexic status. However, the candidates are also required to pay the prescribed fee as mentioned in the space below to make changes:

After making the changes in the GATE 2022 application form and paying the application fee, candidates have to log in to the official portal again. Post this, they have to check the application form status if it is under scrutiny or has been accepted by the concerned authorities. Once all of this is over, the convenor IIT will release the GATE 2022 admit card for all the test takers.
