IIT Kharagpur has finally released the GATE 2022 admit card putting rest to all the rumors of postponement of the examination. GATE 2022 is scheduled for February 5,6,12, and 13, 2022. The candidates who were awaiting the release of the admit card can now download it from the official website, gate.iitkgp.ac.in. The examination is scheduled in two shifts each day, morning and evening. The morning shift shall be held from 9 am to 12 pm whereas the evening shift is scheduled from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
Citing the third wave of the covid-19 pandemic, several districts and cities of the country are under partial lockdown. Hence, in a bid to make the commutation smooth for the candidates, a letter has been released by the convenor.
As per the notice, candidates can use the admit card along with the letter to reach the examination center. Other than this, they are also advised to carry an official id proof i.e. Adhaar card, Pan card to avoid any last moment glitch.
As per the letter, GATE 2022 is scheduled for four days and more than 9 lakhs students will be asked to appear in the entrance exam. The letter put forth the request to allow the candidates to participate in the examination on the dates mentioned in the letter. Candidates can take a printout of the letter and carry it with the GATE 2022 admit card for avoiding any restrictions.

The candidates can refer to this video the link of which has been mentioned on the official website to get a clear idea of the rules that should be followed by them and avoided while going to the exam.
Earlier, there were demands of postponing the examination amidst the rise in the cases of the pandemic. The candidates have urged the convenors to postpone the GATE 2022 exam since a lot of cities were facing weekend lockdowns and an increase in the covid cases. However, now the convenor has decided to conduct the examination on pre-determined dates.
