Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay opened the answer key challenge facility for the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) 2021 on March 01, 2021. Candidates can check the answer key and raise objections against it on the official website of the examination gate.iitb.ac.in. This facility, however, is open only till March 04, 2021, up to 5:00 pm. Authorities had released the GATE 2021 answer key on the official website on February 26, 2021. They shall consider all the objections raised by candidates and subsequently, release the final answer key and results.
IIT-Bombay had released the answer keys with the question paper on February 26, 2021. Following this, candidates have been given the option to check the answer keys and raise objections against them, if needed. This facility, starting on March 01, 2021, shall be open till March 04, 2021, up to 5:00 pm.
Candidates, while challenging the answer keys, have to provide a detailed description and proof of the objection by paying Rs.500 for each question challenged. They must do so on the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) portal by entering their login credentials. Moreover, candidates must also mention the question paper and the answer key or range in the GOAPS portal. However, these details must be in accordance with the ones published on the website and not as per the candidate’s response sheet.
Aspirants can avail of the challenge facility on the official website of the examination i.e., gate.iitb.ac.in. They must click on the link given next to the option ‘To Challenge/Contest the Questions/Answer Keys of GATE 2021’. Candidates are required to fill in the login credentials such as enrolment ID/Email address and password. After this, they must click on the ‘submit’ option to log in to the website.
Candidates are required to make a fee payment of Rs.500 through the online mode for each question. After this, they must enter the question number against which they are raising an objection, write a suitable argument and attach relevant documents proving the argument. After providing all the necessary details, candidates must click on the ‘submit’ option. Candidates can also take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
IIT-Bombay shall take into consideration all the objections raised by candidates. Necessary changes shall be made in the answer key and following this, the final answer key shall be released on the official answer keys shall be released. After this, no objections or changes shall be entertained. GATE 2021 results are also expected to be released on March 22, 2021. Scores shall be calculated based on the final answer keys.
