The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) will release the admit card for the UDC, MTS, Stenographer exam soon. According to the notice released by the ESIC today, it has been announced that the admit card will be released shortly. Candidates will be able to download the admit card/ call letter from the official website esic.nic.in. The candidates will be able to view their exam centre details and the exam time from the admit card. It is mandatory to carry a printed copy of the admit card to the exam centre.
ESIC UDC MTS Steno Exam dates announced
The exam dates have also been announced in the official notice released today. The Phase 1 Prelims exam for Upper Division Clerk (UDC) and Multi-tasking staff (MTS) will be conducted on March 19. The Phase 1 Main Stenographer exam will be held on March 20. The exam shift and time allotted to the candidates will be intimidated through the admit card. Candidates have to adhere to the reporting time provided in the admit card.

Candidates will get the admit card at the official website esic.nic.in. The download link can be accessed via the following steps.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Recruitments’ tab.
Step 3: Candidates will be able to find the link for downloading the call letter. Click on the link.
Step 4: In the login page, enter your credentials and login.
Step 5: The call letter will now be visible. Download it and print a copy.
Phase 1 Prelims exam pattern for UDC and MTS posts
There will be a total of 100 MCQs to be answered in 1 hour, with a maximum weightage of 200 marks. There are 4 sections in the exam, namely General Intelligence and Reasoning, General awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. Each section consists of 25 questions, with 2 marks per question. There is a negative marking of 0.5 mark, for each wrong answer. The Prelims exam is a screening test, and the marks will not be considered for final merit. Around 6500 candidates will be qualified for Phase 2 Mains exam, based on the marks.
Phase 1 Mains exam pattern for Stenographer post
There are 3 sections in the exam- English Language and Comprehension (100 questions); Reasoning ability (50 questions) and General awareness (50 questions). There are a total of 200 MCQs carrying 1 mark each. The total exam duration is 2 hours, with 70 minutes for section 1′ 35 minutes for section 2 and 25 minutes for section 3. Approximately 210 candidates will be shortlisted for stage 2 skill test.
There are a total of 678 vacancies for these posts, which will be filled through the exam. The pay scale for UDC and stenographer posts varies from Rs.25,500 to Rs.81,100; whereas the pay scale for MTS post ranges from Rs.18,000 to Rs.56,900. The minimum qualifying marks in the exam- General category candidates (45%), OBC and EWS candidates (40%); and SC/ ST candidates (35%).
