The National Education Society for Tribal Students, which is the autonomous body of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has notified 3479 vacancies for the candidates eligible for the Teaching Staff posts in Eklavya Model Residential Schools across the country. The vacancies for the post of Principal are 175 while it is 116 for the Vice Principal, 1244 and 1944 for the post of Post Graduate Teacher and Trained Graduate Teacher respectively. The registration process of the EMRS Teaching Staff commenced today, i.e 01 April 2021 at recruitment.nta.nic.in and will end on 30 April 2021.
The vacancies for the Teaching Staff category are released for 17 different states in the country. According to the official notification by the ministry, there are four different cadres i.e. Principal, Vice Principal, Post Graduate Teacher and Trained Graduate Teacher. According to the official notice available on the website, the candidates have to appear in a written test that is tentatively scheduled either in the last week of May 2021 or first week of June 2021. The duration of the exam is going to be of 03 hours and it will be held in 02 shifts.

The age limit for the various posts under ERMS is 35 years to 50 years. In addition to this, the candidates who are willing to apply for the post of Principal, as well as vice-principal, should have completed a Master’s degree along with a B.Ed certificate. While the candidates who wish to apply for the post of PGT must have completed a Two Years Integrated Post Graduate Course from the Regional College of Education of NCERT in any subject with at least a 50% mark. In addition to this, the candidates applying for the TGT course should have completed a Four years integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in any subject with at least 50% marks.
The candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are required to visit the official website of nta.nic.in and search for the ERMS Teaching Staff Application link. Thereafter, the candidates are required to register using their mobile number and email id. Once the registration process is over, the application form will open up in which the candidate must fill his important details i.e. personal details, academic marks, category, etc. Post this, the candidate is required to upload the scanned photograph, signature, domicile certificate and category certificate. The scanned size of the photograph should be within the limit of 10-200kb, while the signature should be within the size limit of 4kb to 30kb. In addition to this, all other scanned docs should be within the size limit of 50kb to 300kb. In the end, the candidate is required to pay the fee i.e. Rs 2000 for Principal and Vice-principal and Rs 1500 for TGT and PGT online using any online method i.e. Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net banking
