The Directorate of Technical Education has released a common prospectus for the first year of professional degree courses for the session 2021-2022 and GCET 2021. Aspirants can download the GCET 2021 notification from the official website, dte.goa.gov.in. The online registrations for GCET 2021 shall commence from May 17, 2021, onwards. Eligible candidates can apply for the entrance examination on or before the last date which is May 22, 2021. The GCET 2021 Exam will take place from June 15 & 16, 2021.
Qualifying GCET allows candidates to take admission in professional degree courses for the academic session of 2021-2022. The list includes the Medicine (MBBS), Dentistry (BDS), Engineering (BE), Pharmacy (B. Pharm), Architecture (B.Arch), Homoeopathy (BHMS), Ayurveda (BAMS), Allied Health Science (BPT, BOT, B.Opt, B.Sc MIT, B.Sc AT), B.Sc Nursing and B.V.Sc& AH.
For admission to these professional courses in the State of Goa is open for all Indian Nationals and Non-Resident Indian holding passport. However, they have to meet the minimum eligibility criteria first before applying. Aspirants must have cleared the 12th class or equivalent to apply for bachelor’s degree courses. They must have completed the minimum age limit of 17 years on or before December 13 of the academic year. There is no specified minimum or maximum age limit for admission to Engineering and Pharmacy courses.
Moreover, those who are seeking admission to Engineering and Pharmacy course have to appear and obtain the valid scores for GCET. For Medicine, Dentistry, BAMS (Ayurveda), BHMS (Homeopathy), Allied Health Sciences, B.V.Sc.& A.H. and Nursing Degree course, the applicant must have appeared and obtained valid scores at NEET-UG 2021.
Eligible candidates can submit the GCET 2021 application form in online as well as offline mode. To register online aspirant have to browse the official website, dte.goa.gov.in. Separate applications for each course is available on the prospectus for those who wish to apply offline. After filling the form, candidates can submit it to the “Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim, Goa” and other notified locations on or before the last date. Obtain the Acknowledgement Card, with registration number, as proof of submission of the form from the counter.
Aspirants can also submit the application with additional late fees of Rs. 1500/- on or before the last date which is June 04, 2021. Those who will submit the application on May 22, 2021 will receive the call letter on the same day. Similarly, those who submit the application with additional fees will get the GCET admit card on June 04, 2021. It is expected that the GCET 2021 result will be out on June 22, 2021.
