Defence Research and Development Organization is inviting applications to fill up the vacant posts of Junior Research Fellow. An official notification has recently been published on the DRDO website, drdo.gov.in. DRDO has announced a total of 06 vacancies for this recruitment. An online interview will be conducted to shortlist applicants for the prior mentioned post. Eligible and interested candidates who wish to join DRDO can submit their form before September 30, 2020.
The post of Junior Research Fellow is advertised under the Defence Food Research Laboratory for the Microbiology and Food Science and Technology/ Food Technology/ Food Science/ Food Science and Nutrition areas. The 06 advertised vacancies are not permanent. The tenure for Junior Research Fellow is for a short period of 02 years which may get extended based on the candidate’s performance. Monthly stipend of Rs. 31,000 plus HRA is provided to the newly appointed Junior Research Fellow.
Applicants must ensure that they fulfil the prescribed minimum eligibility criteria before applying. To apply for Junior Research Fellow for Microbiology, candidates must have the essential qualification of M. Sc/ M. Tech with first class and must have qualified NET and GATE examination. Those who are intending to apply for Junior Research Fellow Food Science and Technology area should possess the same educational qualification of M. Sc and M. Tech and NET/ GATE exam qualification.
As per the notification, the applicant’s age should not be more than that of 28 years on the date of an online interview. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 05 years for those belonging to SC/ ST category and 03 years for OBC category as per Govt. rules.
Those who are meeting the above mentioned eligibility criteria can apply for JRF post. They have to download the application form from the official website, drdo.gov.in. On the application, candidates have to mention the position and subject for which they are applying. The duly filled application form should reach the conducting body through email or post. Candidates are shortlisted for the online interview will be informed about the same through email/ mobile number. An email/ SMS regarding the date and time for the interview is sent to them. Those who have to attend the online interview will get the URL link of DFRL, Mysore on the designated date and time. They must ensure that the internet connectivity, webcam and other necessary software are ready.
