Commissionerate of Panchayat and Rural Development, Assam has published an official notification discussing the recruitment process for Assistant Block Development Officer, Gaon Panchayat Secretary, Tax Collector cum Road Mohrar and Junior Assistant. A total of 1004 vacancies are out for the said posts. Applications from the residents of the Assam are invited on or before September 17, 2020. Out of the total 1004 vacancies, more than half of the vacancy is advertised for Gaon Panchayat Secretary post; that is 578 vacancies. Following is the post of Tax Collector cum Road Mohrar post with 243 vacancies, Assistant Block Development Officer (Panchayat) with 39 vacancies, Assistant Block Development Officer (W&C) with 46 vacancies, Assistant Block Development Officer (Senior Gram Sevak) with 88 vacancies and Junior Assistant with 10 vacancies. Applicants who are selected under this recruitment are appointed with a pay scale of Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 60,500 plus grade pay based on the post.
Applicants from Assam state are encouraged to submit their form for the aforementioned post. To apply for all the category, the candidate must possess a graduate degree in any discipline. However, those who wish to apply for Gaon Panchayat Secretary must have a commerce graduation degree. Their age should not be more than 38 years and less than 18 years as on January 01, 2020. Age relaxation to reserved category candidates of SC/ ST (P)/ ST (H)/ OBC/ MOBC/ Ex-servicemen/ Physically Handicap candidates is permissible. They must have sound knowledge of any local language along with the English language – Assamese or Bengali or Bodo.
Apart from the educational qualification, applicants should be in good health to perform the task assigned. They should be mentally and physically fit, free from any organic defect or bodily infirmity. Moreover, they also have to go through a medical examination before the final appointment is done.
Applications for this recruitment are accepted only through online mode. Eligible candidates must submit their forms for the said posts through rural.assam.gov.in. While submitting the form, the candidate also has to provide the first second and so on preference for the posts. As per the notification, there is no application fee to submit the application form. Candidate must be ready with the scanned images of the photograph, signature, 10th admit card, certificate and mark sheet of the minimum educational qualification, caste certificate, EWS certificate, employment exchange registration card/ certificate. On completion of the application procedure, the candidate can then download the registration/ application slip with ID number for future reference.
