The Electricity Service Commission of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited is inviting online applications for direct recruitment into 608 Group C posts. The vacancies are advertised in the posts of Technician (Electrical) through a detailed notification identified as advertisement number 03/VSA/2020/Technician (Electrical). The detailed notice and the online application form are available at the official website of the UPPCL i.e. uppcl.org. Eligible candidates aspiring for direct recruitment are advised to submit their online applications before the last date. The application process commences on July 01, 2020, and continues till July 22, 2020.
Among the 608 total vacancies advertised by the UPPCL, 245 vacancies are for the unreserved, 164 for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), 127 for SC, 12 for ST, and 60 for EWS candidates. In order to apply for selection and recruitment into the vacant positions, candidates must at first ensure that they are eligible as per the criteria prescribed in the detailed advertisement. Candidates must be within the age range of 18 to 40 years old. However, relaxations in the maximum age limit are permissible to candidates of reserved categories as per applicable government norms. All candidates must have passed Class 10th and have an NCVT/SCVT issued trade certificate in the trades of Electrician/Electrical. In order to apply, candidates must pay a fee of Rs 1000. Only candidates who are SC/ST natives of the state of Uttar Pradesh are allowed to pay a fee of Rs 700. Candidates can deposit the fee either through State Bank of India challan or through Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking. Candidates are required to fill up the application form released at the website against the advertisement number to complete their application procedure.
The selection of candidates is to be done through a Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of two-part. Candidates must pass the exam of the first part by securing a minimum of 20 out of 50 total marks to become eligible for the second part. The second part of the exam consists of the subjects of General Studies & Logical Knowledge, General Hindi, General English, and Technical Knowledge carrying 20, 15, 15, and 150 marks respectively. UPPCL is set to release the admit cards for appearing in the exam through the website only. Candidates are advised to download the admit cards as per schedule. Once the exam is over, provisional answer keys are also published consisting of the correct answers. UPPCL also allows candidates to raise objections supported by the relevant academic references. Once selected, candidates are appointed at the vacant posts. Candidates are advised to read the official notification carefully before applying to the recruitment.
