The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date to apply for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 to May 22, 2022. Initially, the deadline was of today, i.e. May 06, 2022. Interested candidates must submit the application forms by 5 PM via cuet.samarth.ac.in. Although the exam dates have not been announced, CUET 2022 is going to be held in the first and second week of July, 2022. It will be a computer-based test (CBT) and is being held this year for admission to central universities for UG courses in the country.

Citing representations from students to extend the deadline, NTA has informed that they are furthering the last date to apply by 17 days.

Correction Window Announced
Whereas initially it was dubious whether there will be a correction window or not, now NTA has announced that there will be one.
Candidates will be able to edit their forms from May 25 to 31, 2022.
Application Process
Prior to filling out the CUET 2022 application form, candidates have to complete the registration process at the official website. Using the system generated application number, they have to create a password and then submit all personal details. In the next stage, they have to upload photograph, signature and other relevant certificates. The last step is fee payment after which candidates can download the confirmation page.

Application Fee
The entrance exam will be held over two slots. However, the application fee is the same for both of them. The fee for selecting centres in India is different from that of centres outside India. To have a clear idea, refer to the table given below.

Question Paper Pattern
CUET 2022 is going to be held in the CBT mode where there will be objective-type questions or MCQs. The test is going to be conducted on multiple days in two slots. While the first slot will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM, the second slot is going to be held from 3:00 PM to 6:45 PM. The test design comprises three sections which will have languages, domain-specific subject and general test. Detailed information about the sections has been given below.
- Section IA – 13 Languages (as a medium and ‘language’)
- Section IB – 20 Languages
- Section II – Domain Specific Subject
- Section III – General Test
The e-admit cards will be issued online. Candidates can download the same from the official website – cuet.samarth.ac.in as per the stipulated date. They have to appear for the exam as per the date and time given on the e-admit cards.
