Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the CTET Result 2022 next week, preferably by February 15, 2022. Results will be announced through the online mode, on the official portal ctet.nic.in. Those who appeared for the eligibility test access their results on the official website using their login credentials such as Exam Roll Number, Date of Birth, etc.
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2021-22 examination was conducted at selected centres across the country, through the computer-based format. It was successfully held from December 16, 2021, to January 13, 2022. Official answer key for the test has already been uploaded on the official portal.
CTET 2022 Normalisation Process
The CTET 2022 examination was conducted in the form of several sessions spread over 28 days i.e, from December 16, 2021, to January 13, 2022. So, it is invariably implied that the difficulty-level of each session is bound to differ. in an easier session, candidates can score better than those who appeared for the tougher session. So, with the intent of bringing uniformity in the final results, CBSE will be adopting a normalisation process.
The normalisation process is not exactly an elaborate process but simply, a formula disclosed by the central education board. More clarity on this formula will be provided during result announcement. So that candidates will get to know how their final CTET 2022 results were curated.
CTET 2022 Previous-Year Cut-Offs
The CTET 2022 cut-off will be decided on the basis of several crucial factors. These are as follows –
# Number of candidates appearing for CTET 2022
# Difficulty level of the eligibility test
# Previous-year cut-off marks
# Marks obtained by topper in each category
All these factors come into play whole deciding the CTET cut-off marks. To the delight of candidates, there is no sectional cut-off but only minimum qualifying marks. However, it is safe to assume that this year’s category-wise cut-offs will not differ exponentially compared to previous years. So, here are the cut-offs for each category in 2018 and 2019, for each category –
Name of Category | CTET 2019 Cut Off | CTET 2018 Cut Off |
General (Unreserved) | 90 | 90 |
OBC (Other Backward Class) | 82.0 | 85 |
SC (Scheduled Caste) | 80.0 | 80 |
ST (Scheduled Tribes) | 80.0 | 80 |
EWS (Economically Weaker Section) | 82.0 | 87 |
CTET 2022 is an important exam which can enable a candidate to pursue his/her ambition of teaching in schools affiliated with CBSE. Of course, the competition is tough and those who score more than the cut-off marks will be awarded an eligibility certificate.
