Result and Normalisation procedure
Candidates should score a minimum of 60% (90 marks) to qualify for the CTET exam. These candidates will be awarded an eligibility certificate by the CBSE. This certificate has lifetime validity and can be downloaded from the DigiLocker account. Candidates can simply sign up using their personal details and Aadhar number.
Since the CTET exam was conducted in multiple shifts over 1 month, a normalization procedure will be undertaken during the preparation of the results. A normalization formula is used, which takes into account the difficulty level of each question paper and the number of candidates who attempted each paper. This is done to ensure the fair conduct of the exam. The CBSE has strictly announced that there will be no provision for re-checking or re-evaluation after the declaration of the results.
Candidates can use the scorecard and the eligibility certificate to apply to various schools for the post of teachers. Thereafter, they will be required to undergo the selection process, which is up to the school management. Relaxations regarding the CTET score may be given to OBC/ SC/ ST/ PwD candidates, by the concerned school authority.
