Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to close the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2019 online application form soon. Candidates can apply online today, tomorrow, and day after. However the last date to apply online is September 18, 2019, and the last time is 11.59 pm. So less than 72 hours that is only little more than 2 days to go for application form submission to end. The application form is currently being accepted at ctet.nic.in.
With such a short time to go for the last date of CTET 2019 application form, rush of applicants has significantly increased. Either due to this reason, or others, a few technical issues have been reported by applicants. However these issues – like CTET site not working not loading, or error page being displayed – are getting solved either by refreshing the page or clearing browser history. Visiting the site at late night hours is also helpful to avoid slow site loading issues.
In order to apply online, candidates need to visit ctet.nic.in and click the green color tab “CTET December 2019 Application Form”. After that, click on apply now button which will lead to a page with instructions. Go through the instructions carefully and proceed to fill the form. In the registration form, fill personal details, contact details, choose password, and submit. Scanned copies of photograph (10-100 kb), signature (3-30 kb) have to be uploaded thereafter. Last step is to pay the application fee. While filling up the form, candidates need to keep handy id proof and educational mark sheets and certificates.
The application fee for general, OBC candidates is Rs 700 to appear in any one paper, I or II. To apply for both one has to pay Rs 1200. On the other hand, candidates belonging to SC, ST, different abled category need to pay Rs 350 for any one paper and Rs 600 for both the papers. The fee can be paid either online modes that are debit card, credit card, net banking. Or offline via e-challan of Syndicate Bank or Canara bank. Those who submit the forms now will be able to pay application fee until 3.30 pm of September 23.
CBSE will open online form correction from September 27 to October 3. Admit cards will be available at ctet.nic.in in the third week of November.
The examination is scheduled to be held on December 8 in offline mode. Paper I will carry questions from Child development and pedagogy, Language I and II, Mathematics, Environmental studies. Paper II will cover almost same set of subjects to that of paper I but instead of environmental studies, there will be a paper for social studies. Each paper is of 150 marks and has to be attempted in a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes.
The minimum qualifying marks to qualify CTET is 60% i.e 90 out of 150 for both the papers. Candidates who score 60% marks or above will be issued with a Eligibility Certificate.
CTET is conducted at a national level by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for the aspirants who is willing to work as a teacher in central government such as KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools. CTET is held to improve the standard and benchmarks quality of teachers. In the CTET July 2019, the number of registrations received was a whopping 29.22 lakh. 23.77 lakh candidates appeared in the exam, and 3.52 lakh qualified.
