CTET 2018 Exam Date Announced; Exam To Be Held On December 9

CTET 2018 Exam Date

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has finally announced CTET 2018 exam date. Board will conduct the exam on December 09, 2018. The examination will be held in offline mode. The Paper I of CTET 2018, for class 1 to 5 teacher, will be held from 09.30 am to 12.00 pm and the Paper II, for class 6 to 8 teacher, will be organized from 02.00 pm to 04.30 pm.

The application process for CTET ended on August 27, 2018. Candidates who have applied but have not submitted the fee may do so until August 30, 2018. CBSE will also open correction window, from September 06 to 15, 2018.

In both the paper, the questions available will be of multiple choice type. Candidates will get 4 answer choices for each question and only one of it will be correct. In all, there will be 150 questions in a Paper and each question will be of 1 mark. To the benefit of the candidates, no negative marking will be implemented in the exam.

In Paper I of CTET 2018, the questions will be asked from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (compulsory), Language II (compulsory), Mathematics, Environmental Studies. From each topic 30 questions will be asked. On the other hand, in Paper II 30 questions will be asked from Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory), 30 from Language I (compulsory), 30 from Language II (compulsory), 60 questions from Mathematics and Science, and 60 from Social Studies/Social Science.

CTET 2018 Schedule

This year, CTET is being conducted in 20 language, which are – English, Gujarati, Marathi, Sanskrit, Hindi, Kannada, Mizo, Tamil, Assamese, Khasi, Nepali, Telugu, Bengali, Malayalam, Oriya, Tibetan, Garo, Manipuri, Punjabi, Urdu.

Now that the CTET 2018 exam date is clear, candidates can expect the release of the admit card in the month of November 2018. It is expected that CBSE will issue the admit card by the mid of the month. It will also be released online, at ctet.nic.in. The candidates will be able to download it from the login and will have to secure it as a hard copy. Along with the admit card, the candidates will also have to carry one valid ID proof. It can be pan card, aadhaar card, ration card, voter id card, etc.

    Hello,my B.Ed methodology subjects are biological science and English I applied for paperII social science teacher posts is it applicable. Can I write the social science or I should do the corrections as mathematics and science. Now is it possible to do the corrections.
