The state government of Rajasthan is all set to conduct the Computer Instructor Recruitment (Permanent) 2021 process for the first time. In this regard, the Department of Education, Rajasthan has also issued orders. Accordingly, 9862 basic computer instructors or Anudheshak and 591 senior computer instructors will be recruited. In June 2021, the state government had announced the contractual recruitment for the post of computer instructors. However, this was strongly opposed by the youth. They were of the opinion that permanent recruitment should be held instead of recruitment on a contractual basis.
With these demands, the youth went to Lucknow and tried to meet Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi during which they also faced a lathi charge. After this, Priyanka Gandhi assured the youth of a permanent appointment and also spoke to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot regarding the matter. Later, she said that the proposal of permanent appointment was approved in the Rajasthan cabinet meeting and the Finance department had also issued orders for its approval. As a result, the Education Department announced the permanent recruitment of computer instructors.
Soon after the orders issued by the Education department, the State President of Rajasthan Unemployed Unified Federation Upen Yadav said that the youth of the state has won after a long struggle. This is because hundreds of unemployed youth of the state had to encounter lathi charge during their protests for permanent recruitment. Although the government has taken a decision, it should also announce the date for the recruitment examination so that the unemployed youth of the state can get some relief. A total of 10453 vacancies will be filled for the post of computer instructor in Rajasthan.
As per the notification released on June 10, 2021, the state government had decided to create a new cadre of computer teachers. This will help in improving the quality of education in the state schools and also connect students with computer education. Coming to remuneration, basic computer instructor during contract appointments will receive Rs 18,500 per month, senior computer instructors will get Rs 23,700 per month and senior computer instructors upon promotion will get Rs 33,800 monthly.
The Rajasthan High Court had asked the Principal Education Secretary to make rules for the recruitment of computer teachers. In the petition filed, it was stated that computer education was being imparted to 15,000 government schools but the recruitment was not up to the mark. As of now, the dates for the recruitment examination are awaited.
