Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka has announced that they are hereby postponing the COMEDK UGET 2021 exam until further notice. The exam was supposed to be held on June 20, 2021. However now, a new exam date will be finalized and announced in due course of time.
Meanwhile, the Consortium has also stretched the deadline to apply for the exam till July 15, 2021.
The previously announced dates were as follows: The last date to apply was supposed to be May 20, 2021. Then application form correction was supposed to happen from May 22 to 24, 2021. And admit card was going to be released on June 10, 2021.
COMEDK UGET 2021 is not the only exam for which postponement notice has come today. BITS Pilani too announced its decision to hold off BITSAT 2021 for the time being, and postponed its exam date to July-August.
COMEDK UGET is a national level entrance test. It is conducted by the COMEDK (Consortium Of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka).
The exam is organized for admissions to various institutions in Karnataka. There are more than 230 colleges in this consortium of Karnataka including Engineering, Medical and Dental colleges.
Around 190 engineering colleges, 16 dental colleges and 24 medical colleges of Karnataka state are associated in the consortium.
The colleges listed under this consortium consider the COMEDK scorecard for offering admissions in various engineering, medical and dental courses like MBBS, BDS and B.Tech. However through the UGET exam, admissions are offered only in the engineering programs.
