Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL) is recruiting eligible candidates for the vacant posts of Senior Fellow and Associate Fellow. These posts are available only for the Classical Telugu and Classical Kannada Language. Interested candidates can submit their applications for the 30 advertised vacancies. The last date to submit the application form for CIIL Recruitment is 21 days from the release of advertisement. The posts of Senior Fellow and Associate Fellow is announced only on a contractual basis. The tenure for the research work is of 12 months which may get extended depending upon the requirement. Those who are shortlisted for Classical Kannada are posted at Mysore, Karnataka. Candidates who are appointed under Classical Telugu posts will be posted at Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. Senior Fellow gets the monthly salary of Rs. 41,000 and Rs. 37,000/- is paid to Associate Fellow.

To apply for Senior Fellow or Associate Fellow, candidates must have doctorate in Telugu or Kannada/ Linguistic/ Literature/ Translation/ History/ Sociology/ Epigraphy/ Manuscriptology/ Grammar/ Anthropology/ Archaeology/ Numismatics/ Education/ Music/ Dance/ Folklore/ Drama/ Theatre. Master’s degree in and on the same subjects is also required with a minimum of 55% marks. They must have studied Kannada/ Telugu language as a subject at least till graduation.
Applicant’s age should not be more than 60 years in order to apply for Senior Fellow. 10 years of work experience is also mandatory to apply for the post. Candidates who are interested to apply for the post of Associate Fellow should not be more than 55 years of age. They should also have minimum 05 years of work experience to apply for the said post.
Eligible candidates have to submit their application via online as well as offline mode. The format of the application form is available online at ciil.org. The soft copy of the filled application should be sent to the email address – ada-ciilmys@gov.in. The hard copy should be sent to The Director, Central Institute of Indian Languages, (CIIL) Manasagangothri, Hunsur Road, Mysore – 570 006. Aspirants must superscribe the application form as “Application for the post of _____”. Applications received after the last date are not accepted by the conducting body.
Once the application process is over, the conducting body will schedule an interview to shortlist the candidates. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for the interview as per the schedule shared with them. The exact date, time and venue of the interview will be intimated to aspirants later on. Those who get shortlisted for the post have to join the organization immediately.
