India Post, Ministry of Communications, has announced the results for the Chhattisgarh Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) 2021 recruitment. Candidates, who had appeared for the exam, can check their results on India Post’s official website – appost.in. Results have not been announced in the conventional fashion. Instead, authorities have uploaded a PDF document that contains the list of selected candidates, their percentage, category, division, etc. Candidates are expected to go through this list to check their selection status. This year, the recruitment process ended up filling a total of 1133 out of 1137 vacancies. The ministry has further clarified that candidates have been selected on the basis of merit in each category.
To check their Chhattisgarh GDS 2021 results, candidates are instructed to use the steps given below –
Step 1: Visit the official website of India Post i.e., appost.in.
Step 2: On the homepage of the website, click on the ‘Results’ tab, after which you can click on ‘Chhattisgarh (1137 Posts)’ in the dropdown menu.
Step 3: By doing so, a PDF document will be downloaded. Open this document to determine the selection status.
The Chhattisgarh GDS 2021 result PDF features a list of names along with other important details. These include Division, HO Name, SO Name, BO Name, Post Name, Category, Number of Posts, Registration Number and Selected Candidate with Percentage (obtained in the exam). The easiest way in which candidates can search their name in the long list is through their registration number as the candidate’s name and his/her percentage obtained has been crammed together, making it difficult to skim through the names quickly.
Apart from the names of selected candidates, authorities have also mentioned the names of whose post details have been withheld. These names have been mentioned on the last page of the Chhattisgarh GDS 2021 result PDF. The post details of four candidates have been withheld as per the orders issued by the competent authority or because of CAT OA No.94/2021.
The Chhattisgarh GDS 2021 result PDF also specified two very pertinent points, which all candidates must note.
First, authorities have released the list of selected candidates based on their merit, category and post applied. All these factors play an instrumental role in guaranteeing their recruitment. However, this selection is still provisional and will be subjected to verification of original documents.
Second, once the candidates have provided adequate proof supporting their claims, including date of birth, category, education, etc, their selection will be finalised and accepted by the respective recruiting authority. Hence, as of now, a total of 1133 candidates have been provisionally recruited for various posts.
