Indian Railways is inviting applications to fill up vacancies for various medical posts under Central Railways. An official recruitment notification has been published in this regard at the official website of Central Railway i.e. cr.indianrailways.gov.in. As per advertisement H.108.HVS.Byculla.2020, 10 vacancies are available for specialist posts such as Neurologist, Cardiologist and others. Eligible and interested candidates are invited to apply on plain A4 sized paper on or before September 21, 2020. The vacancies are however contractual and will be filled up on a temporary basis. Interested candidates are encouraged to visit the website and read the notification carefully before applying.
The 10 vacancies are for various Specialist and Super Specialist posts including Cardiologist, Endocrinologist, Neurologist, DM/Hematology, Pediatric Intensivist, Physician (Intensivist), Anesthetist for (Pain Clinic), ENT, Radiologist (Especially for USG and USG Guided Biopsies & other interventions) and Dermatologist. Cardiologist, Endocrinologist, Neurologist, DM/Hematology and Pediatric Intensivist will receive a monthly salary of Rs 20,000. Physician (Intensivist), Anesthetist and ENT will receive a monthly salary of Rs 32000. For the posts of Radiologist and Dermatologist, the monthly salary is Rs 16000. The employment contract is for a period of 01 years only.
In order to apply for the super specialist posts including Cardiologist, Neurologist, Endocrinologist, DM/Hematology and Pediatric Intensivist candidates need to have a post doctoral qualification such as DM/MCH or equivalent. Candidates having a Post Graduate degree along with 3 years or more of experience in concerned Speciality are eligible to apply for the other posts. If candidates with PG Degree are not available, PG Diploma holders having 5 or more years of experience are eligible to apply for the Specialist posts. Applicants must be atleast 30 years old and not more than 64 years old. The age of superannuation from services is however 65 years.
Interested candidates can refer to the official notification to check the details of job description and work profile. The doctors have to visit the hospital whenever called for including Sundays. Candidates appointed to the Super Speciality posts have to visit for 02 hours a day for 02 days per week. Those who are appointed to Speciality posts must make 02 hours visit per day for 4 days per week. Candidates will also receive free railway pass as per specification as part of the incentives for their services. Candidates can check the leave deductions from the detailed notification.
Applications for recruitment must be made on plain A4 sized white paper. Candidates must mention personal details and educational qualifications and attach copies of relevant supporting documents.
