Candidates who are going to appear for the 2019 session exams mus know the syllabus. Physical Education is an optional subject for class 12 candidates. The distribution of the marks can be done on the basis of the theory and practical exams. The theory exams contain 70 marks while for the practical exams, 30 marks have been decided.
Physical Education stream is very helpful in various ways. It is also beneficial for the students who are preparing for JEE. PE syllabus can be distributed in the two parts, the theory, and the practical exams. There are a total of 12 units in the theory exams and 4 units in the practical exams.
Theory (Maximum Marks: 70)
The units for the theory exams can be differentiated from the unit – 1 to the unit – 12. The names of the units are planning in Sports, Sports, and Nutrition, Yoga and Life Style, Physical Education and Sports for CWSN (Children in Special Needs – Divyang), Children and Sports, Women and Sports, Test and Measurement in Sports, Physiology and Sports, Sports Medicine, Kinesiology, Biomechanics and Sports, Physiology and Sports, Training in Sports. These 12 units posses 70 marks combined.
Practical (Maximum Marks: 30)
There are a total of four factors in the practical exams. The first unit is Physical Fitness (AAHPER) and it contains 10 marks. The second unit is Skills of anyone Team Game of choice from the given list which has 10 marks. The name of the third unit is viva and the maximum marks it contains is 05 marks. For the unit four i.e. Record File, the maximum number of marks is 05 marks. Thus, the practical portion contains a total of 30 marks.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has also mentioned the number of periods in which the teacher should complete the syllabus. So, according to CBSE, the total content that has been designed as the syllabus should be completed between 120 to 140 periods.
According to the latest news, the students may get the CBSE Date Sheet 2019 in the fourth week of December 2018. As per the reports, the exams will be held from the month of February 2019. The students will be able to appear for the vocational subjects’ exams in the month February 2019 while for the core subjects, the exams will be conducted in March 2019.
