The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) hereby postpones the CA Final Nov 2018 exam to be held on 03 Nov 2018 to 19 Nov 2018 in Bellary and Shimoga in Karnataka states only. Exam has been rescheduled in view of Bye-Elections to the Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituencies and State Legislative Assemblies of Karnataka.
CA Final Nov 2018 exam Group I Paper 2 Strategic Financial Management under old and new syllabus was previously scheduled to be held on 03 Nov 2018. Now, only in Bellary and Shimoga, the same is rescheduled to new date.
Exam centre shall remain the same. Timings of exam will be 2 PM to 5 PM. ICAI CA Final Nov 2018 Admit Card initially downloaded shall be valid.
Remaining schedule shall not change and be as per Notification No. 13-CA (Exam) / N / 2018 dated 31 Jul 2018. Also, in all cities in India except Bellary and Shimoga, the exam shall remain unchanged.
Election Commission had, on 06 Oct 2018, announced the schedule for ‘bye-elections to fill casual vacancy in the Lok Sabha from Parliamentary Constituencies of Karnataka and State Legislative Assemblies of Karnataka’.
In accordance with the same, Gazette notification was issued on 9 Oct 2018, last date of nominations was 16 Oct 2018, and nominations were scruitinized on 17 Oct 2018. Candidatures were allowed to be withdrawn by 20 Oct 2018. Polls are scheduled on 3 Nov 2018. Counting will be done on 6 Nov 2018.
Lok Sabha has three clear vacancies from Karnataka Parliamentary Constituencies – 14 in Shimoga PC, 9 in Bellary (ST) PC, 20 in Mandaya PC. State Legislative Assembly of Karnataka has two clear vacancies – 183 in Ramanagaram AC, 21 in Jamkhandi AC.
CA Final Course Examination under existing scheme for Group I shall be held on 1, 3, 5, 9, 19 Nov 2018. For group II, exams are scheduled to be held on 11, 13, 15, 17 Nov 2018. Under revised scheme, CA Final November 2018 examinations are being held on same dates.
There are 8 papers in all named as Papers 1 to 8. Papers 1 to 5, 7, 8 are of three hours duration and Paper 6 is of 4 hours duration.
Recently, the Institute also notified that for some candidates they had to assign exam centres in zones the candidates had not opted for, due to lack of seats in some zones. Candidates who had opted for Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Vadodara have got other centres. Also some students who had opted for Mallappuram City have got centres in Kozhikode.
ICAI is the apex accounting body in India that was established as a statutory body under Chartered Accountants Act 1949 to regulate Chartered Accountancy in India. CA Foundation, Intermediate (IPC), Final exams are being held in November, and in December there is CA CPT Dec 2018.
