Bihar Public Service Commission has advertised 59 vacancies for the post of Assistant Professor of Physics in Government Engineering Colleges. BPSC has published Advertisement No. 63/2020 at the official website bpsc.bih.nic.in containing the detailed terms and conditions of the recruitment. Eligible candidates are invited to apply for the recruitment through the official website. The online application process has already commenced on September 25, 2020. The last date to apply online is October 22, 2020. Candidates must also send the hard copies of the application through speed post so as to reach the Commission by 05.00 PM of November 05, 2020.

Selected candidates are to be appointed at the Pay Level 10 for a monthly payment of Rs 57700. Candidates must ensure that the read the detailed notification (available from the direct link above) and fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions before applying. In terms of the requisite qualifications, candidates must ensure that they are adequately qualified as per the UGC Notification No. F. 1-2/2017 (EC/PS) Dated July 18, 2019, and other UGC guidelines issued from time to time. The minimum age of the applicants as on August 01, 2020, must be 22 years. Although there is no upper age limit for candidates to apply, it must be noted that the age of superannuation is 65 years.
Selection of the eligible applicants is to be done against a 100 marks total weightage. 20 marks weightage is given ti academic record and research performance of the applicant. 40 marks weightage is given to domain knowledge and teaching skill which will be evaluated through an objective type written test.
There will be 80 questions in the written test which must be completed within a duration of 2 hours. In addition, 15 marks weightage is given to interview and 25 marks weightage is given for assistant professor engaged on a contract basis.
