Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) will announce UP Polytechnic / JEECUP 2020 results soon on their official website. jeecup.nic.in. The entrance exam was scheduled for different groups on September 12 and 15, 2020. The result will be available as a scorecard under the respective logins of the candidates. Through this examination, qualified candidates will be offered 67 different courses in 1296 institutions across the state.
Last year the JEECUP result was declared almost 1 month after the exam. Therefore if the same trend is followed this year the result can be expected around October 15, 2020.
To check the JEECUP Polytechnic 2020 result, candidates have to log-in to the website by entering their exam roll number and date of birth as mentioned in their admit card. After clicking on the ‘submit’ option, their result shall appear which candidates can print for future reference. This document shall be online available online and no hardcopy shall be issued to the candidates by the authorities.
The score card contains important information about the candidate and examination. This includes name of the candidate, roll number, group number, parent’s name, category, gender, state, date of birth, open rank, total marks obtained, etc. It also states whether the candidate is qualified for counselling or not.
The UP Polytechnic 2020 score of every candidate shall be calculated based on the final answer key. Marks are also calculated based on the marking scheme decided by the JEECUP i.e. each correct answer is allotted 4 marks and 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. After calculating the total marks based on the marking scheme, the total score of the candidate is compared with the score of the other candidates. Based on this comparison, a rank is allotted to the candidate, the candidate with more marks is allotted the higher rank.
Candidates who get marks equal to or greater than the cut-off marks are declared as qualified for counselling. Candidates are allotted seats in the counselling round(s) based on their rank obtained in the examination. Admission for the preferred courses in selected colleges is given solely based on marks obtained in the entrance test.
Counselling Council gives priority to the state domicile candidates for admission. If seats in colleges are vacant, the other state candidates are considered for admission. Foreign candidates have to be recommended / nominated / permitted by their own country as well as the Government of India for admission through Polytechnic 2020. The Polytechnic 2020 examination was previously scheduled in May 2020. However, due to the COVID crisis, the entrance exam was held on September 12 and 15, 2020.
