The vacancies for Project Engineer, Trainee Officer & Trainee Engineer is announced under various disciplines. The post of Trainee Engineer is announced under ECE (40), Computer Sciences (19) and Mechanical (11) disciplines. Furthermore, the post of Trainee Officer is available under Finance (06) discipline. Project Engineer post is available in ECE (30), Mechanical (10), Computer Sciences (17), Electrical (01), Civil (02) and Aeronautics (01).

All these posts are advertised only on a contractual basis. Those who get appointed as Trainee Engineer/ Trainee Officer have to serve for a period of 01 years with a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 25000/- per month. For the Project Engineer, the contractual period is for 02 years under the consolidated remuneration of Rs. 35000/- per month.
Interested candidates can apply for the BEL recruitment only after they fulfil the eligibility criteria. To apply for Trainee Engineer, candidates must have BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc Engineering in relevant discipline. Those who have two years MBA in Finance can submit their applications for Trainee Officer Finance. Candidates who possess BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc Engineering can apply for Project Engineer.
BEL is looking for experienced professionals to join the departments. So, before applying for BEL recruitment, candidates have to make sure that they have the relevant work experience. Minimum 01 years post qualification work experience is required for Trainee Engineer/ Trainee Officer posts. Candidates should have a minimum of 02 years of post-qualification work experience to submit their applications for Project Engineer.

Selection of candidates for BEL recruitment is done in three stages – scrutiny of educational qualification, work experience and interview round. First, candidate’s applications are scrutinized based on their educational qualification. This stage carries 75 marks. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria of relevant experience are then awarded marks as per their experience (10 marks). Thereafter, candidates will be called for the video-based interview (15 marks).
