The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) is all set to conduct the recruitment examination for Administrative Officer (AO) and Finance & Accounts Officer (F&AO) examination this year. The tier 1 examination is going to be held in the CBT mode on May 10, 2022 (Tuesday). Due to a large number of applicants, the Board has decided to conduct the exam in two slots with the increased number of examination centres. The admit cards are likely to be released after April 11, 2022 at asrb.org.in.
Candidates can now fill up fresh preferences of examination centres through the link provided on the official website – asrb.org.in. The last date for providing preferences is April 11, 2022 (up to 5 PM). It must be noted that the preference list updated earlier stands invalid and as such, candidates have to provide new preferences.
ASRB Admit Card 2022
In case any candidate does not submit preferences within the stipulated deadline, then the Board may assign any centre at its discretion. Once the preference submission period gets over, the Board will be releasing the admit cards and the candidates can download the same using the registration number and date of birth.
A total of 65 vacancies are going to be filled via the ASRB AO FAO recruitment examination. Out of the total number of vacancies, 44 vacancies are reserved for AO while 21 vacancies are kept for FAO. Moreover, the tier 1 examination pattern for both posts is the same.
Exam Pattern for AO, F &AO
The question paper will follow an objective-type MCQ pattern. There will be 200 questions in the paper and a duration of 03 hours will be given to the examinees.

For every incorrect answer, one-third of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted. It must be noted that this paper is qualifying in nature and the marks will not be carried forward. Based on the criterion of qualifying marks, ASRB will prepare a list of candidates who will be eligible to appear for tier 2 of the recruitment exam.
However, tier 2 is going to be a descriptive exam and there will be four papers. The examination for each paper will be held for a duration of 03 hours. Candidates can find the detailed syllabus on the official website of ASRB.
