Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission is inviting applications from eligible candidates to fill up 123 vacancies. The vacancies are for the posts of Sub Inspector under the Home Department of the state government. A detailed advertisement has been published in this regard at the official website of the Commission i.e. appsc.gov.in. Eligible and intending candidates are invited to register and apply for the recruitment at the aforementioned website. The last of submission of online applications is November 06, 2020.
There are 120 vacancies available for Group B (Non-Gazetted) post of Sub Inspector (Civil Police) and 03 openings for Group B (Non-Gazetted) post of Sub Inspector (IRBn). Selected candidates will be appointed under the Department of Home, Government of Arunachal Pradesh. The monthly remuneration will be in the Pay Matrix Level-6 for Rs 35400-112400 per month. In addition, other allowances as applicable are also to be paid.
Applicants must have a Graduate degree in any discipline awarded by a recognized University. Those who have appeared in the final exam of Graduate degree program and awaiting results are also eligible to apply. Such candidates will have to produce a passing certificate before the final interview. The age of the applicants must be at least 21 years and not less than 26 years as on November 06, 2020. Relaxations on the upper age are applicable for candidates belonging to Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe category as per government norms in vogue.
In addition to age and qualifications, candidates must also fulfil certain physical standards. The acceptable minimum height, chest measurement and other physical parameters are specified separately for male and female applicants. One must ensure that they are compliant with these standards before applying.
The initial selection of the eligible applicants will be done through a Physical Efficiency Test following the measurement of physical standards. The PET consist of 100 mts race, 1500 mts race, 800 mts race, high jump and long jump event. PET is qualifying in nature. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear in the written exam followed by a medical test and final interview.
In case the number of applicants qualifying for the written test is significant, a recruitment test (objective) may be conducted on the General Knowledge subject before the written exam. The written exam is for a total of 300 marks based on the papers of General English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics (Class 10 Standard). Each subject will carry 100 marks. 40 marks are carried by the Interview stage. Only those candidates who secure 33% marks in each subject and 45% marks in aggregate will be called for interview.
An exam fee Rs 100 for APST candidates and Rs 150 for others must be deposited online in order to apply. The online application form can be accessed after registering at the One Time Registration (OTR) process of the APPSC website. Those who are already registered are not required to register again and can directly fill up the application form by logging in with the User ID and Password.

Candidates within the age of 32 years and having a Master’s degree in specified subjects are eligible to apply online before October 24, 2020.
