Indian Army is inviting applications to fill up vacancies for various categories of Soldier posts through Army Recruitment Rally scheduled to be held in February 2021. The official advertisement regarding this is available at the website joinindianarmy.nic.in. Eligible candidates from the districts of Belgaum, Bidar, Gulbarga, Koppal, Raichur and Yadgir are invited to register for the rally from December 05, 2020 to January 18, 2021. Admit Cards for appearing in the rally are issued by the Indian Army following the completion of the registration process. As pert the official advertisement, the vacancies are available for post of Soldier in various categories including General Duty, Clerk and Tradesman. In addition, there are vacancies for Soldier Nursing Assistant (Army Medical Corps and Soldier (Tech) Aviation/Ammunition Examiner. Registered candidates are issued admit cards for appearing in the rally which is the first step to the selection process.
Candidates who have passed Class 10 with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject are eligible to apply for Soldier (GD) post. Those who have passed Class 12th in any stream with 60% in aggregate and 50% in each subject are eligible to apply for Clerk/SKT post. Candidates who have passed Class 8th/Class 10th are eligible to apply for respective Tradesman post. Furthermore, Class 12th pass candidates (PCMB & English) with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject are eligible to apply for Technical and Nursing Assistant.
All applicants must be at least 17.5 years old and not more than 23 years old except for the post of GD for which, the upper age limit is 21 years. Candidates have to appear in the rally by making arrangements for accommodation as per schedule. The rally will consist of physical fitness tests such as 1.6 Km race, pull-ups, 9 feet ditch and zig-zag balance. Those who qualify, will be tested for compliance with physical standards. Those who qualify the physical rounds have to undergo medical tests and qualify in it. Candidates who are declared UNFIT can apply for review as per provisions of the Indian Army indicated in the advertisement. FIT candidates are issued admit cards for the written exam at the rally site.
A list of documents to be carried to the rally site is indicated in the detailed advertisement. Candidates must carry the admit card, 20 copies of unattested recent passport-sized photographs and other supporting documents in original as well as their photocopies to the rally site.
