State Council of Education Research and Training, Andhra Pradesh and School Education Dept, AP has released APTET 2021 syllabus. On June 11, 2021, the council has published the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2021 Syllabus on aptet.apcfss.in. Students can expect APTET 2021 Notification soon.
On Friday, the conducting body of APTET has published a complete syllabus for the state level TET exam on the official website. Students who will be appearing for the exam this year can download the APTET syllabus accordingly. There are 02 papers in APTET Exam – Paper 1, Paper-II (A and B).
APTET Paper I is for the primary teacher (Class I to V) whereas Paper II is for those who aspire to be an elementary teacher (Class VI to VIII). Candidates who wish to be eligible for both primary and elementary teachers must appear and qualify in both Paper I & II.
The APTET Paper I (A and B) syllabus includes 05 compulsory subjects. these are Child Development and pedagogy (Special education for Paper I B), Language I (Telugu/Urdu/Hindi/Kannada/Tamil/Odiya), Language II English, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. Paper II A incudes subjects namely Child Development and pedagogy, Language I (Telugu/Urdu/Hindi/Kannada/Tamil/Odiya/Sanskrit), Language II English, Mathematics and Science (or) ) Social Studies or Languages (Telugu/Urdu/Hindi/English/Kannada/Odiya/Tamil and Sanskrit).
Paper-II B is for Physical Education Teachers. So, the APTET Paper-II B syllabus comprises Child Development and pedagogy (in Special Education), Languages I (Telugu/Urdu/Hindi/Kannada/Tamil/Odiya/Sanskrit), Language II English and Category of disability Specialisation and pedagogy.
The APTET question paper will be bilingual (except for language tests). There will be 150 multiple choice questions in each paper. Every question carries 01 marks for correct answer and there is no negative marking in APTET. Candidates will get 2 hours and 30 minutes to attempt all the questions.
With the release of the syllabus, speculations are made the APTET notification 2021 will be out soon. It is expected that School Education Department, Andhra Pradesh will publish a complete notice in a few months. However, there has been no official announcement or notice in this regard. So, candidates should periodically visit the official website to get the latest update for the exam.
Moreover, Education Minister has recently announced that the validity period for the TET exam is extended. Candidates can now use TET certificates (including CTET, State TETs) for a period of a lifetime. It is expected that School Education Department, AP will also extend the Andhra Pradesh TET certificate validity for a lifetime.
