As per the sources, this upcoming recruitment notification will be released for 337 vacancies. The notification was supposed to be out on August 27, 2021. However, that hasn’t been the case. Moreover, the source also mentions that the maximum number of vacancies (150) is reserved for the post of Assistant Section Officer under the General Administrative Department of the AP Secretariat.
According to another unofficial source, the same number of vacancies is going to be announced for the APPSC Group 2 notification. However, it states that the notification will be announced in February 2022. Likewise, the admit cards for the exam will tentatively be available in April 2022.
In terms of eligibility criteria, both these sources have mentioned that the minimum age for applying is 18 years while the maximum age is 42 years. Candidates must at least have a bachelor’s degree for applying to APPSC Group 2 recruitment. A candidate’s selection will be based on the performance in the three stages of examination namely prelims, mains and the interview rounds. However, they must qualify for the written examination (prelims and mains) to be eligible for the further selection process.
In 2020, the prelims exam covered 150 questions covering topics like General Studies and Mental Ability, Social and Cultural History of Andhra Pradesh along with planning and economy.
