Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited is inviting online applications from experienced candidates currently engaged as outsourced manpower in the organisation to fill up 48 vacancies for the post of Sahayak. The application format is available at the official website of APGCL i.e. apgcl.org. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria as specified in the detailed notification regarding this recruitment can apply before 05.00 PM of December 18, 2020. APGCL is to conduct a written test for selection of the eligible applicants in due course.
As per the recruitment advertisement available at the official website, there are 25 Unreserved vacancies while the rest of the vacancies are distributed across the categories of OBC/MOBC (13), ST (07) and SC (03). Selected candidates are to be appointed to the post of Sahayak in the Pay Band of Rs 12400-Rs 47400 with Grade Pay of Rs 4500.
Only Indian candidates who are domiciled in the state of Assam are eligible to apply for this post provided that they are engaged as outsourced manpower in different units of APGCL for not less than a period of 5 years (1780 days) as on December 05, 2020. The age of the applicants must be within the range of 18 to 52 years as on July 01, 2020. Furthermore, applicants must have passed Class VIII exam from a school recognized by the Government of Assam in order to apply. Candidates have to produce complete payment records for the specified engagement period in APGCL.
APGCL Sahayak Recruitment 2020 Detailed Notification
APGCL is to conduct a OMR based written test for selection of eligible applicants. The exam will be held for a duration of 2 hours and includes an objective type paper with no negative marking. There are two parts of the paper where Part A is based on the subjects of General English, General Knowledge, General Aptitude and General Mathematics of the Class VIII standard. On the other hand, Part B is to be based on fundamental questions from the practical field of power generation. Each part carries 50 marks with 1 marks awarded for each correct answer in the test. Candidates who secure atleast 30 marks in the OMR based test are considered as qualified for subsequent stages of Document Verification/Physical Efficiency Test. It is mandatory to pass the PET in order to get shortlisted in the provisional selection lists for appointment.
Offline applications are invited by the Corporation from such eligible candidates in the proforma available at the official website of APGCL. Intending candidates have to fill up the application form and send it to the General Manager (HR), APGCL, 3rd Floor, Bijulee Bhawan, Paltan Bazar. Guwahati-781001 on or before the last date. Candidates have to enclose experience certificate and payment records issued by an official not less than the rank of DGM/GM in APCGL. In addition, copies of supporting documents and recent passport-sized photograph must also be enclosed with the application form.
