NEET 2021 AP Counselling

National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the NEET 2021 results in the first week of November 2021 and already, states have begun their counselling sessions. Each state is expected to conduct its individual counselling session for those candidates who have qualified for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 examination. Not causing any further delay, DR. N.T.R University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), the counselling body of Andhra Pradesh has released certain important documents pertaining to the counselling process, except the state rank list. They have been released on the official website ntruhs.ap.nic.in.

Firstly, NTUHS released a display list or data list specifying the names of all candidates within the state who have passed the NEET UG 2021 examination. The list specifies the names of candidates, their gender, category, PwD status roll number, All India Rank (AIR) and total marks scored in the exam. The names have been arranged in the descending order of scores in the entrance exam. The display list also specifies the cut-off marks for each category which are as follows –

CategoryCut-Off marks
General138
General – PwD122
BC, SC & ST108
NEET UG 2021 category-wise cut-offs

Candidates must note that the display list is not the same as the state merit or rank list. This list is based on the information mentioned in the NEET UG 2021 applications. The provisional merit list will release in due course of time once the university receives applications in response to the AP University notification.

The provisionally-selected candidates will then be called for document verification after which, a final merit list will be published on the official website ntruhs.ap.nic.in. Hence, candidates must get confused between the display list and the state merit list for NEET 2021 examination.

In relation to the display list, NTRUHS also issued a public notice addressing the candidates whose names have not been mentioned in the display list. Accordingly, the university has mentioned names in accordance with the data received by the Director General of Health Services, New Delhi. Moreover, interested candidates can apply for the admission process as and when the notification is released. However, they must refer to the eligibility criteria before applying.

The notice also specifies that eligibility criteria of those applying under the Competent Authority quota shall be based on their performance from Class 6 to intermediate along with other eligibility certificates.

Finally, NTRUHS has also released the cut-off ranks for both BDS and MBBS courses based on the NEET 2020 examination. Following are the opening and closing ranks for both courses –
