Andhra Pradesh High Court (Amravati) is inviting applications, to fill up 68 vacancies for Civil Judge in AP State Judicial Service. Eligible candidates can apply for the recruitment at the official website hc.ap.nic.in till the last date. The last date of submission of online applications is 11.59 PM of January 02, 2021. Selection of the candidates will be done through examination; details of which will be announced in due course of time.
As per the advertisement, 55 of the vacancies will be filled up by the direct recruitment process. The remaining 13 vacancies will be filled up by recruitment through transfer. AP High Court Civil Judge Recruitment 2020 Official Notification
Applicants for Civil Judge (Junior Division) recruitment by AP High Court must have been practicing as an Advocate for at least 3 years to apply for direct recruitment to the post. Transfer based recruitment will be done for candidates who have a Law degree and a confirmed member of approved probationer in any of the indicated categories of the High Court. Candidates must be less than 35 years old as on the December 01, 2020 in order to apply for Direct recruitment. The maximum age is less than 48 years for recruitment by transfer.
Selection of the eligible applicants will be conducted through a Computer Based Test of 100 marks. The question paper will contain 100 MCQ type questions which must be completed in 2 hours time. Designated exam centre and schedule details will be indicated in the admit cards issued by the HC to appear in the CBT. Following this screening test, qualifiers will have to appear in a written test. It will have 3 papers on Civil Laws, Criminal Law and English Translation and Essay writing test. Each of these paper carries 100 marks and must be completed within 3 hours time.
Candidates who secure 60% marks in aggregate and 55% in each paper will become eligible for the viva-voce round. Viva-voce carries 50 marks and qualifiers of the viva-voce stage will be shortlisted in the final merit lists.
