India Post, Ministry of Communication, has recently announced the recruitment for the Andhra Pradesh Circle. Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the 2296 posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks. Those who are passed 10th class are eligible to apply for the Andhra Pradesh Gramin Dak Sevak Recruitment 2021. Interested candidates can submit their applications through online mode, apppost.in or indiapost.gov.in. The last date to apply for the Andhra Pradesh GDS recruitment 2021 is February 26, 2021.
As per the notification, the posts that are advertised under Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) is of Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster and Dak Sevak. Applicants will be shortlisted for the GDS recruitment on the basis of the merit. Those who have obtained higher marks the educational qualification (10th class) are placed higher in the merit list.
Andhra Pradesh GDS Recruitment 2021 Detailed Notification
To apply for these vacancies, candidates must have passed 10th class with passing marks in Mathematics, local language and English. They must have studied Maths, Local language and English as compulsory or an elective subject. Applicants can check the list of local languages for the recruitment from the notification only. In addition, the basic computer training course certificate of at least 60 days is also required from the eligible candidates. However, candidates who have studied computer in Class 10th or Class 12th or any higher educational level are exempted from Computer training.
Also, the minimum and maximum age for GDS recruitment are 18 years and 40 years respectively. The age is calculated as on January 27, 2021. The relaxation on the upper age limit is also permissible as per Government of India rules. Up to 05 years is relaxable for SC/ ST, 03 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD, 13 years for PWD + OBC and 15 years for PWD + SC/ ST category.
Interested candidates can submit their online applications for Indian Post online. They have to visit the official website apppost.in or indiapost.gov.in to submit online applications. While applying, keep the basic details such as mobile number, date of birth, community details. Also, retain the Physical Disability certificate, class 10th certificate and make sheet, class 10th certificate number/ roll number beforehand. Those who belong to Transgender category should keep Transgender certificate issued by the District Magistrate as per Transgender Persons Protection of Rights Act, 2019.
Candidates also have to make a payment of Rs. 100/- as the application fee for form submission. However, SC/ ST/ PWD/ Female candidates/ Transwomen are exempted from the fee submission. The AP GDS registration fee can only be paid via online mode.
