Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has announced the dates for Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering 2020. The varsity ranked as 8th best university in India by NIRF last time, will conduct AEEE 2020 from April 23, 2020 to April 27, 2020. The exam will be held over a five days window in three slots for admission to B.Tech program in Amrita Schools of Engineering in Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Chennai, Amaravati for academic session 2020-21.
AEEE 2020 exam date was announced today through a short notice uploaded at the official website of the university, amrita.edu. It is further informed that registration for the exam will start in the second week of September.
The university will accept scores of AEEE 2020, and only one other exam that is JEE Mains 2020 held by NTA, for its undergraduate engineering admissions. Helpline number 1800 425 90009, and email ID [email protected] have been activated to solve queries of students who wish to appear in the exam.
Last year Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham conducted AEEE in computer based test mode from April 22 to 26, and as offline pen and paper based test on April 27 in Tamil Nadu. The exam was of two and a half hours duration, comprising of 100 questions. There were 30 questions each from physics and chemistry, and 40 from Mathematics. Syllabus for the exam consisted of topics taught in class 11th and 12th, as given in the exam’s information handbook. The exam pattern of AEEE 2020, and syllabus are anticipated to be the same this year as well.
In AEEE, as it was so until last year at least, the marking scheme happens to be +3, -1. That is three marks are awarded for a correct answer, and one is deducted for incorrect answers.
Whereas the application fee for AEEE 2020 is yet to be revealed, it may be noted that the fee was Rs 1,000 for applying through AEEE, Rs 300 for applying through JEE, and Rs 1,000 again for applying through AEEE and JEE.
Since the exam is conducted over multiple dates, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham opens a slot booking window. Therein, students can select their preferred exam date.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has kept its rankings page at amrita.edu up to date. As per it, the varsity is placed in the 601-800th slot in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings in the year 2019. In 2018, the same ranking placed it in 201-250th, and BRICS and emerging economies ranking placed it at 141st spot last year.
QS World University Rankings placed Amrita University in 801-1000th slot in 2019. NIRF, or the National Institute Ranking Framework has placed Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in 8th position in India University Rankings, and in 15th position in overall rankings.
The Amrita School of Engineering has its presence in Kerala at Amritapuri campus. Then in Karnataka at Bengaluru campus. And at Tamil Nadu at Coimbatore, and Chennai campuses. The school has seats in Andhra Pradesh in the newest campus of Amrita University, the Amaravati campus.
