Central Airmen Selection Board (CASB) has postponed the Indian Air Force (IAF) STAR 01/2021 Examination 2021 until further information. The examination was previously scheduled to be conducted from April 18 to 24, 2021 for Groups X and Y Airmen posts. Authorities are expected to announce the new dates soon for the selection examination on the official website airmenselection.cdac.in. the examination was postponed in light of the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country.
CASB issued a short public notice on the official website today, April 13, 2021 stating that due fresh restrictions have been imposed by various state governments due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Due to these restrictions, the STAR 01/2021 automatic online examination stands postponed to a later date.
The exam which was previously scheduled from April 18 to 24, 2021 shall now be conducted as per the new exam dates. The new schedule and further examination dates shall be announced soon on CASB’s website. Authorities also requested the students to visit the official website regularly for further developments pertaining to the examination.
CASB had activated the exam city link on April 9, 2021 for candidates to know their examination city and date. This was done to counter the communing problems faced by various candidates. Admit cards were to be released from April 16, 2021 onwards. Candidates could download their admit cards two days prior to the examination. While the selection test stands postponed, officials have not provided any information about the change in admit card release date.
The Indian Air Force Star 2021 examination shall comprise of questions from different subjects including English, Physics, Mathematics and, reasoning and general awareness. Questions from English, Physics and Mathematics subjects shall be based on the CBSE syllabus.
The IAF Group X exam shall a computer-based test for a duration of 60 minutes. It shall contain questions based on English, Physics and Mathematics. Group Y exam shall be of 45 minutes duration and organised through the online mode. This exam will contain questions based on English, Reasoning and General Awareness. For Groups X & Y, the examination shall be an online test of 85 minutes duration. This exam will cover questions based on subjects like English, Physics, Mathematics, Reasoning and General Awareness.
Along with IAF Airmen Selection 2021 examination, various other exams are either being postponed or cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ held a meeting with CBSE officials yesterday, April 12, 2021, to discuss the postponement of Class 10 and 12 boards exams. States like Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh have already announced the postponement of exams due to the rising COVID-19 cases.
