The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released the MBBS entrance exam dates. The examination will take place on 25 and 26 May 2019 which is Saturday and Sunday. The result for the same will be declared on 12 June 2019. The AIIMS 2019 exam schedule is also available at the official AIIMS website, www.aiimsexams.org. The application process is set to start anytime soon now, the dates will be announced by AIIMS soon.
AIIMS will also announce the counselling schedule later on. The open counselling will also be held if required.
Candidates who have passed class 12 with english, physics, chemistry, biology as subjects with minimum aggregate marks can apply for AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam. The minimum aggregate marks needed in class 12 is 60% for General candidates and 50% for SC, ST and PWBD. Age limit is applicable for appearing in AIIMS exam. Candidates should be at least 17 years old as of 31 December 2019.
AIIMS MBBS 2019 entrance exam will be conducted in online mode. The examination includes multiple choice questions and reason assertion questions. Now, the distribution of questions is generally that 60 questions each are asked from physics, chemistry and biology. Whereas, 10 questions are included from general knowledge and aptitude and logical reasoning. In total there are 200 questions.
The test duration is of 3.5 hours. There is a negative marking scheme of -1/3 for each wrong answer. Each correct answer fetches the candidates 1 marks. The examination will be held across more than 150 cities and the questions will be available in english and hindi languages.
The syllabus for AIIMS MBBS 2019 is not defined. However, candidates can refer to the NEET 2019 syllabus to get an idea of the topics that they need to cover.
There are a total of 807 seats available for AIIMS MBBS 2019 aspirants at 9 AIIMS located in different locations across the country in Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Jodhpur, Patna, Nagpur, Guntur, Raipur and Rishikesh. There are 100 seats available for Indian Nationals and 7 seats for foreign nationals in AIIMS Delhi, and the other 6 AIIMS institutes have 100 seats each for the students. Whereas, Nagpur and Guntur have 50 seats each.
