All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released the exams dates for the aspirants to get admission in DM / M.Ch (3 yrs) / MHA courses. According to the notification, the entrance exam will be held twice a year. The exams will be held in November 2018 for January 2019 admission session, and in April 2019 for July 2019 admission session.
For AIIMS 2019 (January) session, entrance exam i.e. Stage-I (CBT) will be conducted on November 04, 2018. For AIIMS 2019 (July) session, it will be held on April 06, 2019. After the completion of the Computer Based Test, the candidates will get its result on November 08, 2018, and April 12, 2019 respectively.
Those candidates who will qualify the Stage-I i.e. CBT will be called for the Departmental Assessment (Stage-II). The departmental assessment will be held for three days on November 15, 16, 17, 2018 for January session and April 24, 25, and 26, 2019 for July session. The final result will be released on November 26, 2018, and April 29, 2019. The final result will be prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained in Stage I and II combined.
The duration of the courses like DM and M.Ch is 3 years while MHA is a two years course. AIIMS offers the admission in 26 subjects for DM, 12 subjects in MCh, and 1 subject in MHA.
The exam centres in which the entrance exam would be conducted are Chennai, Delhi / NCR, Kolkata, and Mumbai. The exam centres will be allotted on the basis of first come first serve process.
Stage – I
The Stage-I is a Computer Based Test. The entrance test will be held in the online mode only. There will be 80 multiple choice questions in the exam which will possess 90 minutes to be completed. For each correct answer, the candidates will get 1 mark. If the answer will be wrong then there will be the negative marking of 1/3 marks (for each answer). For the unattempted question, no mark will be awarded or deducted.
Stage-II
Those candidates who will qualify the first round will be called for the second round. The second stage will be the departmental clinical/practical /lab based assessment containing 20 marks.
Final Selection
The Final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained in the Stage-I and Stage-II.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is an autonomous organization that was established in 1956. The organizations provide the admission to the candidates in the various medical degrees. There are total 7 AIIMS available for the students to get admission in. These institutes are AIIMS New Delhi, AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Bhuwaneshwar, AIIMS Jodhpur, AIIMS Patna, AIIMS Raipur, and AIIMS Rishikesh.
