High Court of Allahabad has released a notice citing the exam dates for RO (Review Officer) and ARO (Assistant Review Officer) on the official website, allahabadhighcourt.in. According to the notice, the Allahabad HC RO exam is scheduled from December 10 to 12, 2021. Whereas, the ARO (Assistant Review Officer) is going to be held on December 14 to 16 and 18 to 20, 2021.
The examination is going to be held in four shifts i.e. two in the morning and the remaining two in the evening shift. The morning shifts shall commence from 09:00 A.M. to 12:00 pm and 12:15 P.M. to 12:35 P.M. Whereas, the evening shift is going to be held from 03:00 P.M. to 06:00 P.M and 06:15 P.M. to 06:35 P.M. The notice also notified that the admit card for the respective exams will be available at least 10 days before the examination.

According to the exam pattern of the Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer, there shall be two phases i.e. a computer-based written test followed by a computer knowledge test. The written examination is going to have 200 questions for 200 marks from General Science, History, Aptitude, General English, and Hindi. Candidates will get 3 hours to complete the test and there are no minimum qualifying marks applicable for this post.
Also, as per the marking scheme, one mark is applicable for each correct answer but there is no negative marking for the wrong answers. A computer-based test will be held for 20 minutes and candidates have to type 500 words as provided by the authorities. The minimum qualifying mark for this phase is 25 marks and the language of the exam shall be only in English.
The official notification also mentions that if any two candidates score equal marks then a tie-breaking rule is to be followed by the authorities. The final merit list for the post of Review Officer & Assistant Review Officer will remain valid for a period of one year from the date of its publication.
Candidates who qualify the selection process for the post-AHC RO or ARO shall be appointed as permanent employees within the organization. They shall also be eligible to draw a salary as per the pay scale of INR 47600-151100. While the candidates who join the organization as ARO will be eligible to draw emolument according to the pay scale of INR 44900-142400.
