The Indian Air Force (IAF) will declare the results of the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 1/2022 soon on their official website. The AFCAT 01/2022 exam was conducted from February 12 to February 14, 2022. Candidates can check their results on the official website of AFCAT at afcat.cdac.in by entering their user credentials on the candidates’ portal.
How to get AFCAT 01/2022 Scorecard?
Candidates who had attended the AFCAT 01/2022 can download their scorecards from the official website of AFCAT once the results are declared. To download the scorecard, candidates can follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of AFCAT at afcat.cdac.in
Step 2: On the homepage hover over the Candidate Login tab and select AFCAT 01/2022.
Step 3: Log in to the candidate’s portal by entering the registered email and password on the spaces provided.
Step 4: Click on the link to the scorecard displayed on the screen.
Step 5: download the AFCAT 01/2022 scorecard and take a printout of the same.
Entry/Branch/Course Wise Vacancies of AFCAT 01/2022
The details regarding the vacancies to be filled from AFCAT 01/2022 are given on the official notification released by the IAF. There are a total of 317 vacancies to be filled from the AFCAT 01/2022. There are a total of 77 vacancies in the flying branch, 129 vacancies for technical ground staff and 111 vacancies for non-technical ground staff. However, 10% of the vacancies in the flying branch is reserved for the candidates who have a valid C-certificate of National Cadet Corps (NCC).
- PC and SSC
These vacancies are categorized into two courses, i.e. PC (Permanent Commission) courses for men and SSC (Short Service Commission) courses for men and women. While PC is permanent recruitment, SSC extends only to 14 years of service for the Flying branch, and 10 years for Ground staffs.

- Course-wise vacancies
In the above table, AE (L) and AE (M) in the Ground Staff (Technical) branch, specify Aeronautical Engineer Electronics and Aeronautical Engineer Mechanical respectively. In the Ground Staff (Non-technical) branch, the acronyms Admin., LGS., and Accts., specify posts in Administration and Education.
According to the official notification, the number of vacancies is subject to change after the declaration of the results and depends on organizational requirements, various cadre control mechanisms, availability of training slots, and the actual number of vacancies accruing in January 2023. For further details regarding the selection process, candidates can refer to the official notification released by IAF.
The candidates who qualify the AFCAT 01/2022 will be eligible to appear for the AFSB interview conducted for 5 days for the final selection. The AFSB test will include a psychological test and a medical examination of the candidates. AFSB Qualified candidates will feature in the final list of the AFCAT 01/2022.
