Today, December 30, 2022, is the last day to register for the AFCAT 1 2022 examination. After today the Indian Air Force will not be accepting any more applications unless the registration deadline is extended. Interested and eligible candidates are advised to use this last date wisely to register for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2022 examination. Conversely, those who have already filled up the form must utilize these last few hours to upload the necessary documents and pay the application fee.
While registering for the AFCAT 2022 examination, candidates are bound to make mistakes. These minor shortfalls may lead to the cancellation of candidature from the exam. In order to avoid this unfortunate circumstance, candidates must avoid the following 5 mistakes.
#1 Uploading an old passport-size picture
It is imperative for all candidates to upload their recently-clicked passport-size picture in JPG or JPEG format. This picture should match the current appearance of the candidate. So that the candidate can easily identify and match the candidate with the image present on the admit card. If the appearance does not match, the candidate may not be allowed to appear for the AFCAT 1 2022 exam.
#2 Forgetting to look at the format and file size for each document
Each document needs to be uploaded in accordance with the format and file size specified by IAF. As per the specifications, all three documents, namely the candidate’s photograph, signature, and left-thumb impression need to be uploaded in JPG or JPEG format. Moreover, the file size must range between 10 KB and 50KB. A document not matching these specifications will not be accepted at the time of AFCAT 1 2022 registration.
#3 Paying application fee through offline or unauthorized mode
All candidates are expected to pay the application fee only through the online mode using authorized payment gateways. These include Credit Card, Debit Card and Net Banking. Beyond these options, no other payment gateway will be accepted. A candidate must not attempt to pay the fee using cash, demand draft (DD), cheque, pay order, etc.
#4 Forgetting to take a printout of the confirmation page
After successfully paying the AFCAT I 2022 application fee, a confirmation page will be generated on the screen. This page shall act as proof of successful registration. Hence, it is important for each candidate to print multiple copies of this page for future use or reference.
#5 Submitting multiple forms to ensure successful registration
Submitting 2 or more AFCAT I 2022 applications will lead to disqualification of candidature from the exam. Hence, it is important for each candidate to submit one form successfully without any errors or mistakes. This is a better proposition than submitting multiple forms with varying data.
