Airports Authority of India (AAI) is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for engagement of apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961. AAI has published two detailed advertisements regarding such recruitment in the Western region at the official website aai.aero. Eligible candidates from the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Goa can apply for the recruitment online starting tomorrow i.e. December 09, 2020. The last date to apply online is December 31, 2020. Selection of the eligible applicants will be done on a merit basis.
Advt No. 04/12/2020/Apprentice (ITI) (WR) available at the official website is for the engagement of 21 ITI Trade Apprentices in the Western Region. Similarly, Advt No. 03/12/2020/Apprentice (Graduate/Diploma) (WR) available at the official website is for the engagement of 159 Graduate and Diploma Apprentices in the Western Region. For Graduate apprentice engagement, the available posts are for Mechanic/Auto Engineering, Communication Navigational Surveillance and Information Technology/Computer Science. Diploma apprenticeship posts are available for Mechanic/Auto Engineering, Communication Navigational Surveillance and Information Technology/Computer Science. For ITI apprentice engagement, the posts are available for Motor Vehicle Mechanic, and Diesel Mechanic.
Engagement to all the posts is for a period of one year only. Intending candidates may note that monthly stipend will be paid to the selected candidates. Graduate apprentice post holders are entitled to receive a monthly stipend of Rs 15000. For Diploma apprentices, the monthly stipend is Rs 12000 while for ITI Trade apprentices, the monthly stipend is Rs 9000.
Candidates must have a Vocational Course in the relevant ITI Trade involving 2 years of study after Class 12/10 in order to apply for ITI Trade apprentices post. Similarly, candidates holding full time Engineering Degree/Diploma in respective disciplines are eligible to apply for Graduate and Diploma apprentices posts. The minimum and maximum age limit is 18 and 26 years respectively for these posts. Only those who have passed their qualifying exam on or after March 01, 2018 are eligible. Furthermore, applicants must have secured at least 50% marks in their qualifying degree/diploma/certificate.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in their qualifying exam. However, final selection will be subject to interview/verification of certificates and medical fitness of the candidates. Candidates have to submit police verification certificate from local areas of residence.
It must be noted that a candidate can apply only for one discipline/trade. In order to apply, one must register at the NATS web portal before applying for the apprenticeship engagement.
