Delhi Government on Wednesday announced the recruitment of 5000 Community Nursing Assistant/ Medical Assistant/ Health Assistant. The announcement was made to prevent the shortage of medical and paramedical staff as a preparatory measure for the third wave of COVID-19. Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, has invited online applications from eligible candidates. The online registrations have already started on June 17, 2021 at delhi.gov.in.
On June 16, 2021, the Chief Minister of Delhi held a live press conference in which he discussed the coronavirus situation. The CM has announced that the Government of Delhi will be recruiting the medical and paramedical staff on a contractual basis. He said that the Delhi Government is building a force of 5000 community nursing assistants or Medical Assistants.
While conducting the press conference, Delhi Chief Minister had discussed the minimum eligibility criteria for Delhi Health Assistants. To apply for the recruitment, candidates must have passed 12th class. They should have completed the minimum age requirement of 18 years.
To submit applications for Delhi Health Assistant recruitment 2021, aspirants need to visit the official website first, delhi.gov.in. Aspirants can also submit their applications for the said vacancies via delhifightscorona.in/paramedical-health-assistant. They have to register themselves for the recruitment by providing basic information such as personal information, date of birth, contact number, an assembly constituency, Area PIN code etc. Also, keep the aadhar card ready as it is mandatory for ID cards.
Thereafter, eligible candidates are asked to provide their education qualification. They have to enter the subjects they have cleared graduation/ postgraduation (if applicable) or if any work experience. Candidates also get an option to choose the 04 training centres as per their preference.
Moreover, CM further added that the recruitment will be based on a first-come-first-serve basis. Aspirants who apply first and fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria will be shortlisted for the vacant positions. They will be working as assistants to the Doctors and Nurses of the hospital.
Candidates will be trained by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University at the city’s nine major medical institutes. As per the official announcement, the training shall commence on August 28, 2021. It will be organized for two weeks in batches of 500. During this training, candidates will be trained in nursing, paramedics, life-saving, first aid, and home care. Thereafter, fully trained medical and paramedical staff will be called for duty when needed and be paid according to the number of days they work for.
