Ministry of Communications began the registration process for the recruitment of 2428 “Gramin Dak Sevaks” yesterday, April 27, 2021. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the vacancies on the official website appost.in on or before May 26, 2021. The vacancies include job profiles of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak. Authorities released the official recruitment notification yesterday on the official website stating the eligibility criteria, selection criteria and registration instructions.
Candidates can apply for the vacancies only through the online mode by registering on the official portal appost.in or indiapost.gov.in within the prescribed deadline. To obtain the registration number, candidates need to provide certain basic information.
The basic details include name, father’s name, mother’s name, mobile number, date of birth gender and community. Education details including year of passing Class 10, name of education board, Class 10 passing certificate or roll number (as per candidate’s choice).
Candidates must also keep certain documents ready before filling the online application form. These documents include Class 10 marksheet or certificate, proof of birth (if Date of Birth not mentioned in Class 10 marksheet), computer certificate, community certificate, photograph, signature, disability certificate and transgender certificate.
The registration process includes three main steps. The first step includes filling the application form. This is followed by the uploading of important documents. The last step of the registration process is paying the application fee. Candidates must preview their application form before submitting it. They are advised to take a printout of their application form and confirmation page for future reference.
According to the recruitment notification, one candidate is allowed to register only once. The registration number thus, obtained can be used while applying to any other circle other than Maharashtra. Moreover, the mobile number once used cannot be used again for the registration process. In case any duplicate registration is found by altering basic candidate information, that individual shall be removed from the selection process.
The Maharashtra Post Office 2021 recruitment registration process also includes paying a prescribed amount as registration fee. Candidates belonging to OC, OBC, EwS male or trans-man category are required to pay Rs.100 for a set of five alternatives. However, SC, ST, trans-woman, PwD and female candidates are exempted from the fee payment process.
Candidates are permitted to make the fee payment through the online or offline mode based on their preference. They can pay the application fee online using Credit Card, Debit Card or net banking facility. If the deduction is not reflected in their bank accounts, aspirants are advised to wait for 72 hours for confirmation.
Those aspirants who wish to pay their fee through the offline mode can do so by visiting the nearby Head Post Office or other government-identified Post Office. A complete list of state-wise post offices are mentioned in the official recruitment notification. Hence, candidates are advised to read the notification carefully before starting the online registration process.
