The XAT 2027 exam date is January 3, 2027. Candidates who register on the opening day — July 15 — will be allotted their first preferred test city, with confirmation by August 5, 2026. This early-registration benefit is new for XAT 2027 and is designed to help aspirants plan travel and preparation well in advance.

XAT is one of India’s most respected management entrance examinations, accepted by over 250 business schools including XLRI Jamshedpur, MICA, XIM University, IMT Ghaziabad, IRMA Anand, LBSIM Delhi, FORE School of Management, GIM, TAPMI, and BITS Pilani. XAT 2027 Registration Process – How to Apply

1. Visit the official XAT 2027 registration portal at xatonline.in from July 15, 2026.
2. Click on Register and enter your name, email address, and contact number. Verify your email via the OTP or link sent to your inbox.
3. Log in with the generated credentials and fill in the XAT 2027 application form with personal, academic, and work-experience details.
4. Upload required documents — recent passport-size photograph (JPG/JPEG/PNG, under 1 MB) and signature on white paper with black ink (JPG/JPEG/PNG, under 1 MB).
5. Select XLRI programmes (if applicable) and choose up to two preferred test city options.
6. Pay the application fee online via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI. (The fee was Rs. 2,200 for XAT 2026; the XAT 2027 fee has not yet been officially announced.)
7. Submit the form and download the confirmation page for your records.

Special benefit for Day 1 registrants: Candidates who complete the full XAT 2027 registration on July 15, 2026, will be allotted their first preferred test city and receive confirmation by August 5, 2026.

XAT 2027 Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Open to Indian nationals and foreign nationals.
• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent three-year programme) in any discipline from a recognised university.
• Final year candidates: Students appearing in their final year of graduation by June 8, 2027, are also eligible to apply.
• Age limit: No upper or lower age limit for XAT 2027.
• Work experience: Not mandatory. Both freshers and candidates with work experience are welcome. Typically, 2–3 years of experience is considered a sweet spot for XLRI’s PGDM-BM programme.

XAT 2027 Exam Pattern

XAT has no sectional time limits — candidates can attempt sections in their preferred order. The GK section does not contribute to the overall percentile or cutoff score but is considered separately in the XLRI selection process. XAT is a single-slot exam, ensuring fairness without normalisation across shifts.
