West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC) issued WB SET Admit Card 2018 today on 05 Nov 2018 at wbcsconline.in. West Bengal State Eligibility Test will be held on 02 Dec 2018 for eligibility for Assistant Professor in colleges and universities of West Bengal.
In order to download admit card / hall ticket, candidates need to visit WBCSC official website that is wbcsconline.in. There they will see a notice that says ‘SET 2018: Admit card – Admit card for WBCSC SET 2018 has been made available. Please login with credentials to download admit card.’ Candidates need to click on the link ‘Applicant Login’. Upon reaching login, candidates need to enter User Name and Password. Then click Login button. Thereupon, one can see admit card on screen which needs to be downloaded.
There is a facility to remember forgotten password also. Those who have forgotten password also need to go to candidate login page. There they can see a link for ‘Forgot Password’.
On clicking it, a pop up opens where one has to enter User ID. Then click ‘Get Password’ button. In this way, candidates can retrieve password.
The Commission shall not send admit card / hall ticket by post or any other means to candidates. It shall be compulsory for each test taker to bring admit card to exam center on day of exam. In addition to admit card, it is also required to bring a valid photo identity proof.
Initially WB SET 2018 was scheduled to be held on 09 Dec 2018. However, the UGC NET exam, also taken by a similar audience, is also on 09 Dec 2018. Therefore on 25 Sep 2018 it was announced by WBCSC that WB SET 2018 shall be preponed to 02 Dec 2018. Now therefore, instead of issuing admit card in third week of November 2018 as was initially planned, the same has been issued sooner.
West Bengal State Eligibility Test will be held in 30 subjects on 02 Dec 2018. Paper I will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Paper 2 shall be held from 11 AM to 1 PM. The first paper will have 50 multiple choice questions of 2 marks each on general topics. Whereas second paper will have 100 MCQs of 2 marks each based on subject specific topics. Thus both papers are compulsory.

WBCSC was established in 1979. Its functions were revised in 2012 and 2017. The commission looks after selecting and recommending Assistant Professors, Librarians, Principals to around 450 Government Adied Colleges in West Bengal and additionally conducts SET.
