Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is allowing candidates to do the VITEEE 2021 slot booking from today, May 17, 2021. All students who have applied for the engineering entrance exam must book their slots for exam, as well as mock tests by May 21, 2021.
The mock tests will be held from May 20 to 22, 2021 as AI proctored tests. And they will be held from May 24 to 26, 2021 as invigilator proctored tests. The actual tests will be held on May 28, 29, and 31, 2021. The test will be held as online remote proctored examination.
The steps to do slot booking for VITEEE 2021 are as follows.
Step-1: Visit the official website viteee.vit.ac.in.
Step-2: Navigate and open the link for the “Slot Booking – Online Test Booking System”.
Step-3: The login page will open on your screen. Now enter the application number and password to access the login.
Step-4: Now read the instructions carefully and click on the “Book a Seat” button.
Step-5: Here you will have to choose the dates and time for your mock test and the actual test. The available slots will be displayed on your screen. You will have to click on the “Book” button.
Step-6: Now you will be given a minute to confirm your slot booking. The pop-up will appear on your screen. You will have to click on the “Ok” button.
Step-7: The mock test, and test dates and time will be displayed on your screen where you will have to click on the “Confirm” button.
Step-8: By clicking on the confirm button in the above step, you will complete your slot booking process. Your confirmed slot’s details will appear on your screen. Either note down the details or take the screenshot/printout for your end.

During the slot booking, candidates will be required to be available in front of a computer/laptop for photo capture. Thus, it is suggested that the candidates should book their slot by themselves.
Last year, around 1.83 lac candidates applied for the VITEEE. As per reports, this included students from the Middle East, Indonesia, Nepal, Nigeria, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, UK and Singapore.
Around 1.62 lac candidates applied for the VITEEE exam two years ago. The maximum number of applications (29,122) were from Andhra Pradesh. The number of applications from Uttar Pradesh was 17,469. And likewise from Tamilnadu 16,583, Telangana 16,027 and Maharashtra 14,798. Among the cities, Hyderabad topped the list for maximum applications with 13,574 applicants, Vijayawada 9815, Delhi 9094, Chennai 7943, Kota 6005, Vellore 2694 and Bhopal 1654.
