Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has published an official recruitment advertisement number 08/2020 to fill up vacancies in various posts. Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) are invited from eligible candidates fulfiling the minimum eligibility criteria specified for each advertised post. The advertisement is available at the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in and eligible candidates who wish to apply for the recruitment can do so through the UPSC online application portal i.e. upsconline.nic.in on or before the last date. Online application windows are open now and the last date to apply online is August 27, 2020. Candidates can download the completely submitted online application till August 28, 2020.
As per advertisement number 08/2020 published by the UPSC, multiple vacancies are available for various posts. Post-wise details of vacancy, eligibility and other conditions of selection and recruitment have been indicated in the advertisement. 24 vacancies are advertised altogether in various Group A and Group B posts. A single vacancy is available for the post of Scientific Officer, 14 vacancies are available for the post of Junior Scientific Officer, 02 vacancies are available for the post of Lecturer (Physiotherapy), 03 vacancies are available for the post of Lecturer (Prosthetics and Orthotics), 02 vacancies are available for the post of Lecturer (Vocational Guidance) and 02 vacancies are available for the post of Sub-Editor.
Candidates not more than 35 years of age and having a Master’s degree in Botany or Pharmacy (with Pharmacognosy as the main subject)are eligible to apply for the post of Scientific Officer (Pharmacognosy). Applicants must have at least 03 years of drug analysis experience. For the post of Junior Scientific Officer under the Ministry of Defence (Navy), candidates within 30 years of age are eligible to apply given that they have a Master’s degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Electronics or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in any of the disciplines of Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Information technology, Metallurgical, Mechanical, Aeronautical, Chemical. In addition such applicants must also have 02 years of minimum experience in production, development or QA in relevant fields.
Candidates having a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy and within the maximum age of 35 years are eligible to apply for the post of Lecturer (Physiotherapy). Candidates must also have at least 02 years of teaching experience in Physiotherapy or 02 years experience in Planning Implementation of research projects in Rehabilitation. Similarly for the post of Lecturer (Prosthetics and Orthotics), candidates within the maximum age of 35 years and having a Master’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics along with 02 years experience in fabrication of Prosthetics and Orthotics are eligible to apply.
Candidates having a Master’s degree in Psychology along with a PG Diploma in Vocational Guidance or Counselling and relevant experience of 01 years or more are eligible to apply for the post of Lecturer (Vocational Guidance). Candidates must be within 35 years of age. For the post of Sub-Editor, Vidhi Sahitya Prakashan, Ministry of Law & Justice, candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in Law, who have studied Hindi and English at the Higher Secondary level and translation experience of three years of deeds, agreements, bills etc. are eligible to apply.
The application form is available online at the specified website and candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 25. The fee can be paid through any SBI branch in offline mode or through SBI internet banking, Visa/Master Card/Debit Card. SC/ST, PH an female candidates are exempted from the payment of fees although all General, OBC and EWS candidates must pay the application fee. Relevant documents in the scanned format must be uploaded with the application form. Candidates must generate a print out of the application form which must be carried along with other original documents during the time of interview and document verification.
