The National Defence Academy (NDA) is the world’s only tri-service defence academy. It is situated in Khadakwasla, Pune, in Maharashtra. The NDA trains cadets of the Indian Armed Forces. Cadets from all three services, that is Army, Navy and Air Force train together in the NDA. A cadet has to complete six terms for graduating out of NDA. After completion of training, the cadets move on to pre-commission training at their respective academies.
There are basic eligibility criteria for appearing in UPSC NDA 2 2021 examinations. The candidate needs to be an Indian citizen. Only male unmarried candidates may apply for the NDA examination. The minimum age of the candidate should be between 15.7 years to 16 years at the time of commencement of the course. The maximum age limit is 18.7 to 19 years. The candidate must be Class XII pass under a 10+2 system of education with mathematics, physics and chemistry as compulsory subjects.
For the UPSC NDA 2 2021 exams, the candidates should not have been born prior to January 02, 2003, and not after January 01, 2006. Apart from the criteria mentioned above, the candidates also need to be physically fit.
The Union Public Service Commission of India (UPSC) has announced the schedule for National Defence Academy, Naval Academy Exam 2. Online registration form for the UPSC NDA 2 2021 is available from June 09, interested candidates may register and fill their applications till June 29, 2021. The registration form is available on upsc.gov.in. Submission of an application shall have to be only through upsc.gov.in, no other platform is going to be recognized.
To fill the application form, the candidates have to log in to upsc.gov.in. The notification for UPSC NDA 2 2021 exam is visible there. Once the notification is clicked, it will redirect to the UPSC Online Application. Instructions need to be followed carefully and documents and photo ID need to be uploaded. After these steps are successfully completed, payment for the application fee needs to be paid. This completed the application process.
As mentioned above, the candidate has to upload one photo identity proof may be either Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving Licence, School Photo ID or any other photo ID issued by State or Central Government. An active and valid email ID of the candidate needs to be put in the application form as there is going to be no exchange of physical documents or correspondence.
For the candidates who do not wish to appear for the exam, UPSC has introduced a facility for withdrawal of application. The application may be withdrawn between July 06 to July 12, 2021 by 6 pm.
The UPSC is going to issue an e-admit card once the application form is successfully uploaded. The e-admit card will be available on upsconline.nic.in three weeks before the date of examination. The admit cards are likely to be issued in August 2021. Candidates will be able to download the admit cards online with their registration numbers.
The candidates who clear the exam will have to give an SSB interview. After the final selection, they will be recruited by the Air Force, Navy or the Indian Army.
