IAS Answer Key 2020 Drishti IAS

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted the Civil Services 2020 prelims exam yesterday. The popular IAS coaching academy, Drishti IAS, has now released the question paper and answer key of the examination at their website.

In order to obtain the question papers and answer keys of IAS 2020 prelims provided by Drishti IAS, one has to go to their website drishtiias.com. There, under the what’s new section, click the link “UPSC prelims 2020 question papers with answer key”.

Upon clicking it, the page with all published, and upcoming answer keys of UPSC 2020 prelims appear. At the time of publishing this news, Drishti IAS has uploaded GS paper 1 question paper, and GS paper 1 answer key. Against GS paper 2 question paper and GS paper 2 answer key, coming soon is being displayed. It is expected that the latter two will be available by tonight.

Now to download the available question paper and answer key, click the down arrow button against the document. Doing so scrolls the screen down and opens a form. Here, enter name, phone number and click submit. Now check the phone for SMS with OTP. Then enter the OTP on the screen.

After completing this simple registration process, the question paper or answer key, whichever was clicked, will get downloaded. And clicking any other document will download that too.

Drishti is a popular name among IAS aspirants. Not only is the coaching popular, but also Drishti media books are common among candidates. Besides, Drishti media runs a youtube channel with high quality videos on various topics and issues relevant to the candidates.

UPSC conducted IAS 2020 prelims on October 4, 2020 after much tussle on stopping the postponement of the exam. It consisted of two papers, general studies paper I, and general studies paper II of 200 marks each.

General studies paper I had 100 questions of 2 marks each. In it, the negative marking is ⅔. And general studies paper II had 80 questions of 2.5 marks each, with negative marking 2.5/3. The IAS answer key 2020 by Drishti IAS and other coaching centers help a candidate to analyse their exam performance, calculate an expected score, and compare it with last year cut off to predict chances of clearing the prelims.

Last year the prelims cut off marks for general, EWS, OBC, SC, ST were respectively 98, 90, 95.34, 82, and 77.34. IAS mentors have suggested that chances of cut offs increasing this time are very low. This is because the distribution of questions, percentage of out of context questions, core concept based questions presence, were all the same as last time.

IAS prelims results are expected to be announced by mid-November. Last time the CSE prelims were held on June 2, and result announced on July 12.

It may be noted that the Civil Services Main examination is scheduled to be held on January 8, 9, 10, 16, and 17, 2021.
